Take part in an intensive, four-day, consecutive course aimed at beginner swimmers. Make 4 weeks worth of progress in 4 days in the Highbury & Islington area. The course will run between Monday 20th and Thursday 23rd July.
Working on the foundations and fundamental swimmers, the aim is for people to come out of the course more confident and comfortable in the water and with basic skills to help them continue their swimming journey. The sessions are 45 minutes each. 17:00 - 17:45 or 17:45 - 18:30 or 18:30 - 19:15.
The absolute beginner session is for those with no, or very limited experience in the water. We will be covering the basics of breathwork, flotation and introducing movement through push and glides and kicking, with shallow and deep water confidence through jumping in the pool.
Beginner level 2 is for those who already have some experience in the water, and can float and kick comfortably on both front and back, without the use of floation aids. Here we will be looking at the introduction and refinement of the full strokes, as well as treading and other technical transitions in the pool.
There are maximum 5/6 swimmers to a teacher, with two teacher, Daniella and Omie, in the water
The pool is 20m long, with a deep end of 1.65m.
Full information, including address, will be provided up to a week before the course is due to start. This course is women’s only, with female instructors in a private pool.
